http://jsmec.staiku.ac.id/index.php/jsmec/article/view/11

This research discusses the role of Islamic cooperatives in community economic empowerment, especially for micro-enterprise cooperatives in West Java. The global economy, which is facing challenges of inequality and poverty, encourages the importance of community-based empowerment, one of which is through Islamic cooperatives that provide solutions to access financing based on sharia principles. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Islamic cooperatives in community economic empowerment, explore the challenges and opportunities of Islamic cooperative management, and its impact on the welfare of cooperative members. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of Islamic cooperatives in West Java. The results show that Islamic cooperatives can increase access to financing for micro businesses, but are faced with the challenges of suboptimal financial management and a lack of understanding of sharia principles among members. The implications of this research suggest managerial improvement and technology utilization in the management of Islamic cooperatives to improve transparency, efficiency, and sustainability of cooperatives in the future.
Rokibulloh

http://jsmec.staiku.ac.id/index.php/jsmec/article/view/9

Women's micro-enterprises in rural Indonesia play an important role in promoting family economic resilience, but still face various structural and social constraints. Lack of entrepreneurial competence and low family support are two main factors that hinder the success of women's micro-enterprises, especially in Sindang Kasih Village. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competencies and family support on the success of women's micro-enterprises in the region. The method used is a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The sampling technique used was a saturated sample technique, with a total of 35 female micro-entrepreneurs as respondents. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, limited interviews, and documentation, with data analysis using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests. The results showed that both entrepreneur competence and family support had a positive and significant effect on the success of women's micro businesses partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination of 0.629 indicates that the two independent variables explain 62.9% of the variation in business success. This research provides an important contribution to the development of gender and family-based microenterprise empowerment models, and can serve as a reference in designing local policies and training programs that are more contextual and inclusive in the future.
Aina Listiana

http://jsmec.staiku.ac.id/index.php/jsmec/article/view/7

This study aims to analyze the relationship between risk management and sustainability of micro businesses in the creative economy sector. This study used a quantitative method with an associative approach and cross-sectional design to collect data from 40 micro-enterprise respondents in the creative economy sector in Cirebon. Data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity, coefficient of determination (R²), and hypothesis testing. The results show that risk management has a significant effect on microenterprise sustainability, with a regression coefficient of 2.00, indicating that improvements in risk management can increase microenterprise sustainability. The t-test and F-test showed strong significance on the risk management variable. The implications of this study provide insights to micro merchants and policy makers on the importance of better risk management implementation, as well as how technology can play a role in risk mitigation. This study also contributes to the development of risk management theory and opens room for further research on the role of digitalization in microenterprise risk management.
Muhamad Zaenal AsikinUpit Elya Rohimi

http://jsmec.staiku.ac.id/index.php/jsmec/article/view/10

Traditional fishing communities are among the most economically vulnerable groups, especially amidst the pressures of climate change, limited market access, and the dominance of middlemen. In the midst of these challenges, cooperatives are present as an alternative economic institution that has the potential to strengthen the bargaining power and solidarity of coastal communities. This study aims to examine the social role of cooperatives in the process of economic empowerment of traditional fishing communities in Cirebon. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of active cooperative members. The results show that cooperatives not only function as providers of access to capital, but also as reinforcers of social solidarity, spaces for democratic participation, and means of local economic transformation that reduce dependence on middlemen. Cooperatives encourage collective behavioral change and shape a more equitable socio-economic structure. The implications of this research support the development of community-based policies and the expansion of social-based cooperative models to improve the economic resilience of coastal areas. In addition, this study opens up opportunities for further research on cooperative digitalization and adaptive cooperative models in the era of a sustainable maritime economy.
Irfan AzisUpit Elya Rohimi

This study aims to analyze the effect of product innovation and marketing networks on increasing micro business income in Cirebon City. The method used is a quantitative approach with probability sampling technique, involving 65 respondents of micro business actors. Data analysis techniques include classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, as well as t test and F test. The results showed that both product innovation and marketing network had a positive and significant effect on micro business income, with a simultaneous contribution of 71.2%. The implications of these findings indicate the importance of a combination of innovative strategies and the expansion of marketing networks in driving the financial performance of micro enterprises.
